Women's Self Defense Programs In Boston

If you are interested in our regular Adults Program (ages 18+), please click here. The information on this page is about our dedicated modular women's self defense short courses.

Martial Arts & Self Defense in Boston Our modular women’s self defense course/program is designed for women who want to learn effective safety principles and strategies along with a condensed program of physical defensive tactics that will work against the types of assaults that women are likely to face. The program is primarily about preventative measures, observation/situational awareness, threat identification and classification along with disengagement, de-escalation and break away techniques, escapes from common holds etc.

The course aims to teach women how to follow a basic close/third party protection principal i.e. how to move/get from point A to point B without incident; how to put direct security measures in place that avoid being profiled as a target/victim (we deal with home as well as individual security), how to identify “synchronizations of movement” that indicate you have been picked up on a predator’s radar and how to step off this timeline of violence before physical assault occurs. We teach all of these ideas whilst equipping the individual with basic physical skills that can be used should the worst case scenario happen.

The course is arranged into 5 distinct modules/classes that can be attended at any time (throughout the year) and in any order – these modules can be repeated at anytime without any additional cost. This effectively means that for one price ($125) a person can take part in a year’s worth of training. Positioned throughout the yearly calendar are Redman days. These are classes where instructors use a Redman Scenario Simulation Suit along with Student Protective Suits to train at near and full force, providing an opportunity for the student to put what they know to the test. The course calendar, showing the modules in order is located at our dedicated womens self defense website, which can be accessed by clicking here. This website contains dates and booking information etc.
